The East Carroll Parish School Board shall elect, at its regular meeting in January each year, one of its members to serve as President and one to serve as Vice-President.
The Superintendent of Schools will serve as secretary and treasure to the Board.

The President of the East Carroll Parish School Board shall preside at Board meetings, shall perform all duties imposed by the statutes, and shall perform such other duties as may be prescribed by law or by action of the School Board.
He/she shall decide, at Board meetings, questions of order.
He/she shall appoint all committees of the Board unless otherwise directed by the Board, and he/she shall be the chairperson of all such committees.
He/she shall call special meetings of the Board.
He/she shall sign official district documents that require the signature of the President's office.
